I am obsessed with Christmas music. I enjoy the nostalgic albums we listened to growing up like John Denver & The Muppets. To the new toe tapping versions by Carly Rae Jepsum and Kacey Musgraves, I adore them all! And even though I am not partial to genre and artist I wanted be a little more particular when selecting songs that will be appropriate for our holiday open house.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Well, maybe not for everybody but we decided to get started early this year. I’ve been building our advent calendars from scratch. But when I saw the Ypperlig Wall Shelf I knew it would be perfect to hold all our goodies! So this year I decided to do things a little different and created my own Ikea Hack.
It’s time for me to begin my favourite project of the year, my DIY Advent Calendar! I’ve been gathering goodies the past few weeks so that I can put it all together before our trip to Vegas at the end of November. Last year I filled Link’s advent calendar with little toys and books and it was great but this year I wanted it to be more interactive. Since we love doing little projects and we don’t need anymore little toys rolling around the living room I decided to go with an activity/craft theme.
