Link was obsessed with the Halloween decorations this year so Christmas is going to be even more exciting! He now gets that Santa will be coming (although he asks me everyday if it’s tonight). He’s at the perfect age where he believes in all the magic that comes along with the holiday. Last weekend we kicked off our holiday season with a visit to the Millarville Christmas Market and now I’m in full on Christmas mode. My first holiday project Link’s advent calendar. I’ve managed to gather all the fillers so now I just have to put it all together! I reused a couple things from last year (I know this will be the last year that I can get away with that) but most of the ideas are new.
It’s time for me to begin my favourite project of the year, my DIY Advent Calendar! I’ve been gathering goodies the past few weeks so that I can put it all together before our trip to Vegas at the end of November. I just finished these chalkboard numbers and I thought I’d share them with you all. Click the link below to download them.
Our mudroom / laundry room was the definition of “builders standard.” When we built our house 10 years ago we were trying to cut costs wherever we could so we didn’t do any upgrades in this space and boy you could tell! There’s nothing inspiring about it. Laundry is boring enough, I needed a little cheer to make it less of a chore! Plus some storage for shoes and outdoor gear wouldn’t hurt.
My friend Kayley recently celebrated her Grandma’s 80th birthday. When she sent me an adorable photobooth frame idea that she found on Pinterest I was instantly excited to make one for her! It’s really a very simple DIY to put together and it would also be perfect for a bridal shower, baby shower or wedding. Grab these simple supplies and put one together for your next soiree!
I can’t believe that tomorrow we start our advent calendar, what happened to November?!? After Halloween it seemed like Christmas was so far away and then “bam” it’s December! Continue reading

I bought Link a Halloween costume this week but the maker in me is not entirely convinced. I thought I would use my time for other things like decorations and baking but I keep finding myself back on Pinterest scoping out different DIY costumes. I’ve put together a list of my favourites, hopefully it’ll save you some time! Continue reading
