It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Well, maybe not for everybody but we decided to get started early this year. I’ve been building our advent calendars from scratch. But when I saw the Ypperlig Wall Shelf I knew it would be perfect to hold all our goodies! So this year I decided to do things a little different and created my own Ikea Hack.
Much to my surprise I opened the boxes to find that they were already put together. Yes, you heard me right. An Ikea product was FULLY ASSEMBLED! So I made myself a latte and curled up with my MacBook for a Pin-fest. Once I had a great list of ideas for fillers I headed to Dollarama, Walmart and Michaels to gather the goods.

I wrapped the fillers and labelled them with a sharpie on the back. I arranged them so that the more time consuming ones landed on weekends or days that we didn’t have a lot of plans. I numbered them with these printable numbers and arranged them according to size. ( I didn’t put them in numerical order. I find that when they are random it looks much better throughout the month .)
I’m so happy with the final product. What do you think of my very first original Ikea Hack?
How does your family countdown to Christmas?
